Day 5 Update: Owen took lots of steps today! He was well rested and ready to move. Both his physical therapist and prosthetist feel like his leg is as perfect as it can be and are ready to send it to finishing. The fabrication process takes 2 days. We will drop his prosthetic off Monday morning at 8 am and pick it back up on Wednesday morning at 8 am. Then Owen will have his last therapy session at 8:30 Wednesday morning then we will start our journey home. We are so pleased with everyone involved in making Owen first prosthetic it has been an amazing adventure. We have loved every step. We would recommend the Texas Scotish Rite to any child with Orthopedic needs it has truly been a blessing. We are so thankful to have found such a loving and caring hospital.
