Owen was born in 2009 with a short right femur and the right side of his hip not developed properly.

This condition is called Proximal Femoral Focal Deficiency or PFFD for short.

This blog is for Owen's family and friends to follow his progress and help other families who have a
child with PFFD.

Owen says "Bye Bye Green Cast!" And probably Hello Blue Cast...there is a good chance Owen will have to be re-casted a little long so he doesn't break the bones before they heal properly. We will keep you posted. He just went back at 8:15 am and it should last an hour.
